Our story
Over 55 years of fire on the sand.
Francisco «Ayo» cooked his first paella on the sand of Burriana back in 1969. One pan, some embers and a lot of heart. Over half a century later, the next generation keeps the same recipe, the same smile and the same care alive.
Burriana Beach, the early summers. Reed shade, sea and the wood-fired paella of always.

The first fire
Ayo lights his first wood-fired paella right on the sand. He cooks by the sea for whoever passes by, and the smell of wood fire starts drifting across the whole beach.

Reed shade, sea and summer
Reed roofs, folding chairs and steaming pans. The chiringuito fills with families who come back summer after summer. Some still do today.

From the sea to the fire
Fresh fish, sardine skewers and seafood straight from the boat, grilled over the fire just steps from the shore. The taste of the Mediterranean, with nothing but wood embers.

The legacy
Ayo's legacy lives on. The family keeps the same flame burning: the same recipe, the same wood fire, the same care as always.

The beach bar from TV
Nerja, Verano Azul and us
In the 1980s, Burriana Beach became the set of the most beloved series in Spanish television. It entered the hearts of generations... and Ayo had already been here long before, part of that very same picture of endless summer.
